From selection of materials, through production, logistics, and reuse of packaging, our goal is to make sustainable toilet seats with future generations in mind.

Our first toilet seats were made from bamboo,an abundant, du rable, beautiful, and recyclable material.

Our most recent seats, the Glaxitz™ line (Clearly, no toilet seat is smoother™), seals the seat in clear, scratch-resistant poly methyl methacrylate (PMMA).

This easy-to-clean transparent thermoplastic was first sold in 1933 under the trademark Plexiglas™. It is also sold as Lucite™ or Perspex™.

Environmentally-friendly PMMA does not contain the potentially harmful bisphenol-A sub-units found in polycarbonate.

Even the hinges on Glaxitz seats are designed to protect the environment for future generations. Strong and corrosion-resistant, our chrome-plated hinges use trivalent chromium instead of frequently-found hexavalent chromium, which has been identified as being carcinogenic.

Recycling to Reduce Our Carbon Footprint

TOPSEAT loses no opportunity to reduce our carbon footprint. We require our suppliers to use recyclable cardboard cartons and ecologically-friendly packing materials. TOPSEAT also refurbishes wooden shipping instead of replacing them. Even empty paint cans get new life as our employees reuse them as flowerpots.
